Sing With "Windy City"

Hey there + "Windy City" El Paso, Texas' tribute band to Chicago, fans, you know that Chicago has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to help fight Breast cancer by allowing the highest bidder in their website, to sing "If You Leave Me Now" with them on stage, well +"Windy City", El Paso, Texas' tribute band to Chicago is doing something similar.  If you can be the first person to correctly answer the trivia question asked during our concert, you will be allowed to sing "Colour My World" on stage, with +"Windy City".  It's been a blast in the past and we will continue to do this at each of our concerts.  So c'mon, study your  +Chicago band history, you may be the lucky one to come on stage and show people what you can do.  It's alot of fun.  Until then, keep on rockin to the music of +Chicago as brought to you by +"Windy City", El Paso, Texas' tribute band to +Chicago.

The Beginning

In the Windy City of Chicago, on a cold February day, 1967, 6 young men got together to work on making their dream come true, which was to start a rock and roll band using horns as a major voice of the band.  These young men went on to create one of the top selling rock and roll bands in the world, which at first was called "The Big Thing", then "Chicago Transit Authority" to finally what they are now known as simply "Chicago".  After 45 years of touring, they continue to influence many musicians across this world.  That influence hit El Paso, Texas in the fall of 2004 which initiated the beginning of "Windy City", El Paso's tribute band to "Chicago". Since then, "Windy City" has performed in front of thousands of "Chicago" fans eager to hear their music and also gathering a substantial folowing for the next to the real thing.  It has and continues to be our pleasure and privilege to be able to provide "Chicago" fans the opportunity to play this music when ever we get the chance.  Since its "beginnings", "Windy City" has gone through numerous personnel changes along the way.  At present, the band is composed of 8 talented and dedicated musicians that love and enjoy the challenge of playing the music of "Chicago".  We have a combined musical experience of over 350 years and "Feeling Stronger Everyday".  As the year goes on, we will be posting articles that will include performance dates, pictures and some personal bios on each member of the band. On top of that, we will be posting links to musically related businesses and opportunities that you, our fans, will be able to take advantage of.  Stay tuned and stay young with the music of "Chicago" as brought to you by "Windy City".
